Shipping and Receiving Manager

Summary of Position:
The Shipping and Receiving Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to receipt, storage, and shipment of incoming and outgoing products in the warehouse. This role supports the Shopping and Receiving Manger and works closely with warehouse staff to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate shipping and receiving process. The Assistant Manager also plays a key role in managing inventory, coordinating shipments and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Major Activities: 
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day shipping and receiving operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely processing.
  • Provide guidance, training and supervision to shipping and receiving staff, ensuring that they follow procedures and meet performance standards.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring products are properly loaded, identified and free from damage.
  • Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies related to shipping and receiving.  
  • Assist in keeping track of inventory and organizing inventory
  • Work closely internally and externally to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.

Job Requirements

  • CDL Class A
  • Computer Skills
  • Organizational Skills are required 2+ years’ experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Shipping and Receiving procedures, logistics and operations
  • Forklift experience 

Physical Requirements: 
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and stand for long periods.
