McKamish was the mechanical contractor for the infrastructure upgrades at AHN Jefferson Hospital.

McKamish was the mechanical contractor for the AHN Jefferson Hospital Infrastructure Upgrades project. The project involved the replacement of three air handling units, three return fans, two chillers, two chilled water pumps, two heat exchangers, and two hot water pumps serving critical patient floors and wings.

A key challenge was maintaining continuous operation in all areas served by these systems. Temporary provisions were carefully designed and implemented to ensure uninterrupted airflow throughout construction.

To support installation, a 900-ton crane was utilized to set unit sections and prefabricated duct, piping, and structural support assemblies on the roof. Due to a limited lifting window, the team maximized efficiency by preassembling duct and piping modules in adjacent parking areas, significantly reducing the number of required lifts and minimizing disruption to hospital operations.
