McKamish was the HVAC contractor for the University of Pittsburgh Petersen Addition. We supported the vertical expansion of an existing two-story, fully occupied facility with the addition of a third level. The project required maintaining uninterrupted operation of the building’s mechanical systems throughout construction, demanding careful planning and coordination. Progress was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic; however, work continued through the implementation of evolving safety protocols to protect construction workers, students, and faculty while maintaining project momentum.
